By “Erik Prince”, I mean belligerently and dramatically overreact to an attack — actual, perceived, provoked, planted, or otherwise. They could do what Blackwater did in Fallujah in 2004.

They could terrorize a population. At home.

They could kick-in home, school, and business-place doors, lurk in public buildings and streets, employ flash-bang grenades, tear gas, body-armor, fully automatic weapons, SUVs, trucks, and tanks in the streets, terrorizing a population into submission. They could be funded at the same rate as the military of Poland. Or, the entirety of US military spending in 1917, on entering World War I. Nice work on that big, beautiful bill.

Btw, have you seen Civil War? Yes, you have, yeah, that A24 movie.

They could prod a population into employing IEDs, RPGs, and assault weapons. From bats, to boards, to bricks, to and bottles alight. We’ve seen this before. Inside America, and outside America. This is a wavefront of a war.

The world, meanwhile, burns. Storms rage. Fires consume. Ice recedes, collapses, and melts.

Please. Prove me wrong. Peacefully, impeach, convict, jail, try, and imprison the President who is trying to have the American people pay for his coup.

Please.

note: Erik Prince is the CEO and founder of the private security company Blackwater, now Akademi, once XE.

They are already preying upon Minneapolis high schools, throwing people on the ground and handcuffing them.

Got to socialize them into being terrified of the authorities at a young age.

There is a very important detail that you are missing.

It has not been determined if it was legal. Hennepin County and Minnesota get to determine if it was legal. He has no protection from the Federal government in that.

He was enabled by the federal government, yes.

ICE has been routed everywhere they can in Minneapolis. Barricades have been erected. ICE is being tracked by the community. It is a warzone up here. Sure, without explosions and more shots being fired.

That’s the thing. The regime says it’s legal. They’re lying. The state has a right to investigate federal exercise of power. If that right is removed, you no longer have a United States. It’s a fief.

I feel for you all. As I did 2001-2009.

"When exposing a crime is treated as a crime, you are ruled by criminals." A painter is beaten by a police officer for the crime of painting a picture of a painter being beaten by a police officer.

That is not at question. The regime can say whatever it wants. It does not preclude Minnesota from exercising it’s authority to investigate, indict, and prosecute. It does not change that while the feds may resist investigation, Minnesota will still treat it as a state crime. The state has the resources to do it without federal cooperation. They would need to move the shooter to a secure location where he could not be arrested. That is extremely difficult to do in the US so long as there is someone able and willing to execute the warrant in any state.

I forgot to say this in my previous response: I’m sorry that this happened in your state and I hope that Minnesota can do exactly what you’re describing. I heard the AG of Minnesota, Keith Ellison, talk on Democracy Now!

Wherever the shooter is, the state of Minnesota needs to take custody of him and any evidence. State-level courts need to try him for the homicide he committed. Minnesota needs to convict him at the state level.

If he’s only ever federally charged, the regime could try the case to appease public opinion. Even if he was convicted federally, -2 could/would pardon him.

I would not expect a federal indictment, and Hennepin County is already putting together the materials required to sue the feds for the evidence, possibly sue the FBI, sue ICE and make an indictment. Thankfully any crime that breaks federal and state law can be tried in both courts. It’s one of the rare occasions where this loophole is beneficial.

These things take time when done properly. The DA’s office working with the AG means this will go quicker, but it won’t be satisfying unfortunately.

In the handbook of fighting fascism, strict adherence to policy is noted as extremely effective. Additionally, if the system in Minnesota works as it is intended to work, then we are able to reinforce faith in the concept of our justice system, rather than resorting to the barbaric sham trials the fascists would use.

Minnesota will still treat us as a state crime

Will they? Maybe I’m already misremembering events (I’m not), but it seems like the state authorities are giving up on any investigation. Quote:

"The BCA said as of Friday afternoon it is not conducting an independent use-of-force investigation into the shooting, but is working with Moriarty’s office to catalogue and preserve evidence. BCA Superintendent Drew Evans said the office would provide the community’s evidence to the FBI, as it is leading the investigation.

“The BCA remains open to conducting a full investigation of the incident should the U.S. Attorney’s Office and FBI reconsider their approach and express a willingness to resume a joint investigation or to share all evidence and evidentiary reports held by FBI investigators,” Evans said."

That’s where the DA of Hennepin County and AG come into play. Unfortunately that will take time and this is something neither of them will get wrong. Worst case scenario they are able to find obstruction.

From my understanding the BCA did not “give up.” They have literally been prevented from accessing the scene, they have been prevented from acquiring any gather material, etc. They could not get access independently and can only request joint investigation.

Keith Ellison is damn good at his job. Let him cook.

were just black and publicly carried guns for self-defense.

      Uhh…

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MOVE_(Philadelphia_organization)

They were pretty close to a cult and their leader who made their rules was illeterate…

The bombing was a huge overstep, but this was closer to WACO than what you’re making it out to be.

Except WACO had the legal right to be there, and you’re also pretending a giant shootout with the cops didn’t happen a few years earlier.

This shit is important, now more than ever. We need to understand what really happened so we learn from it. Not spread romanticized and simplified folk tales.

MOVE was not a haha social club or nonprofit, it was basically a revolutionary cell that routinely ran afoul of the law, including killing a cop and wounding over a dozen firefighters and cops in an armed standoff. The bombing was and is indefensible, but they should not be painted as harmless victims.

Yes. Lest we forget, Philly PD bombed the city of Philadelphia.

Note: 9 MOVE members were convicted and imprisoned on questionable evidence in a similar, violent attempt to serve a “warrant”. Unless you, bot, believe that those not charged or convicted are guilty of crimes they were not even charged with, let alone the charges (contempt of court, parole violations, loud noise, animals, illegal weapons posession, threats) the warrants were being served represented in a land where people are innocent until proven guilty.

8 adults and 3 children dead. For what? Procedure? A monopoly on power? What of the 250 people and 60+ homes destroyed in the ensuing fire?

All this to say, America is mad racist. Still.
