    Scottish Gaelic uses the same word for “thumb” and “big toe”, is that the case in Irish too?

      we’ve got the best of both worlds!

      ladhar mhór - big toe

      ordóg na coise - thumb of the feet

      so that’d be ladhrag mhòr or òrdag-coise in gàidhlig, not too drastic a difference there! :)
