TBH I’m amazed that most cities ever allowed the ICE to set up shop in the first place.
“Yeah, ha ha, come on in and start abducting people without a local warrant or evidence, disappear them into the night without any respect for due process or habeas corpus” like what kind of crack are people in town halls smoking these days? That’s a criminal gang, my dude.
‘Luckily’, we get to see clearly them do all the "they would never…"s to show us why we shouldn’t ever have trusted them.
Did they even have a choice to say no?
They can block the sale or allocation of the properties used, they can also treat the ICE like the criminal gang they are: profile each and every one of their members, assign patrols to the areas they operate in, and stop any ongoing activity as it happens (ICE warrants are not real warrants so every apprehension they make is unlawful).
