I mean, a piece of tape or something that’s virtually 2D won’t cause problems. The little stick-on plastic bits and whatnot absolutely could cause a problem when the laptop is closed because they push into the screen since there’s nowhere for them to go between the halves of the laptop.
Can confirm, I’ve done multiple display replacements for systems that had the little plastic sliding camera covers.
So true. Plus, I’m sure there are plenty of complaints from goo and other stuff ruining the lens cover.
Disable it in the BIOS, please…
