i use piper to set my mouse up on linux, and it has local memory mode that can save settings in it instead of relying on the app always running on background.
NO firmware updates, NO internet connection, NO official logitech app. fuck all of these.
their warranty was a pain in the ass that took MONTHS and the mouse has a lot of dumb issues. guess ill look into that 3d-printed foss mouse whenever i need a new one again. can’t trust corporations even with computer mice.
I absolutely love piper… I switched to a hero g502 Logitech mouse shortly after ditching windows cause razer under Linux was not working… Love the mouse and that it’s not hindered by Logitechs garbage software

I use a mouse that doesn’t require anything beyond the generic USB HID driver that comes with Linux in the first place.
(Okay, okay, I could also use OpenRGB if I wanted to control the lights. But still, it uses fuck-all software provided by the manufacturer.)
