- Denounced Comrade Fidel as a dictator (or accused him of “adventurism”, looking at you PSL)
- Denounced Comrade Chavez as a dictator.
- Denounced Comrade Maduro as a dictator.
- Claimed China is a threat to Taiwan.
- Gave even a modicum of support to the US narrative about the imperialist proxy war in Ukraine.
- Made up any kind of stupid lib shit about Russia, the DPRK, China, Venezuela, etc.
- Ever even implied you can blue-button your way out of fascism.

Alright, for a moment, let’s say that there was credible evidence of this fraud or whatever.
Would the opposition, whose claiming to have won, make Venezuelan’s lives better? The ones who are fanatically loyal to Israel? The ones who literally want yo sell off trillions of dollars of infrastructure, land, and resources to foreign powers? The ones who want to dismantle the expanding numbers of self governing communes (really democratic there buddy). The ones who want to cut all social welfare which yhe most poor Venezuelans need every day? The ones who are literally requesting that the US and Israel (becuase fucking of course) to occupy their country in exchange for the majority Venezuelas assets?
No fucking normal person would say these people are anything but ghouls, but your chomping at the bits to have then assume power over Maduro? What’s better a brother you don’t choose who yells but never hurts you, or a friend you choise but who beats you for your money? Does the fact that you chose your friend make them better then your brother who you didn’t choose.
This is not even delving into the fact that US sanctions essentially make the democratic process (even limited sham of liberal democracy) completely null and void. US sanctions essentially holds a population hostage and doesn’t allow them to discuss internal affairs because the looming shadow of economic warfare is obviously going to dominate the national discussion. They force a country to ask “what should we do for the US” instead of “what should we do for our country” which deligitmizes the whole idea of self determination in the first place.
It’s basically a universal agreement that sanctions are economic warfare. So allow us to elaborate on that thought process. In open warfare, especially invasion, does any nation allow for a sector of soceity to capitulate to the invader? No, they outlaw the practice and suppress those who dissent. Yet nations under sanctions are lambasted for doing the same thing when being economically warred upon.
Frankly, Maduro didn’t suppress the opposition enough they shouldn’t have even been allowed to participate in the first place! The opposition is funded and backed by the US, directly linking them with the aggressor nation. That alone would be more then enough to disqualify during an invasion.
The only reason someone can have for opposing Maduro’s “suppression of the opposition” is if they support the opposition. Unfortunately liberals and my dear western leftists (who I unfortunatelyhave to contend with) are not so honest about their genuine intentions. Or they are still not fully understanding the scope of what politics and anti-imperialism entails.
Us Communists do not hide our beliefs when we support opposition. When we support the trade unions and socialists in Ukraine, we do so not because of some vague “Democratic process” but because they aim to improve the conditions of the Ukrainian working class, in which they’ve identified that the actions taken before and during the war with Russia was against the average Ukrainian’s interest.
We don’t hide our reasons for our support. If others want to contend with us on those points, then we can happily discuss worn them, but we don’t vaguely gesture to self contradicting logical fallacies.
Democracy under US global hedgomony is a sham. The day everyone accepts thus fact is the day we can actually have a proper discussion about what to do about it.

I’m literally feeling sick of all the bourgois leftists i have talked to who are rocksolid in their conviction of being pro human rights and whatnot but who wont bat an eye on genocide denial or plain racism.
I want to convince these people but my energy literally isnt enough. The people around me (other communists) are trying but they dont even recognize this stuff unless i push their nose in it.
Its exhausting. I really need a communist self help group or something so i can infuse myself and others with revolutionary optimism and patience.

If you’ve ever listened to western ‘leftist’ criticism of AES that was a mistake on your part.
There’s no leftover “what if” scenarios anymore, “what if the zionists kill 400k Palestinians” “what if the U.S. kidnaps a president for no reason” the answer will be the same no matter what. They’re snubs who believe in international laws and that everyone should be condemnend for their wrongs, these are just nazis they want us dead they want to thrive under imperialism.

If the person is neutral, they could spend a billion lifetimes speaking of the evils of the empire and still wouldn’t have gotten the right to speak anything bad or even neutral about AES countries, or any Global South country for that matter, in the context of imperialist attacks and such. So when someone starts a conversation saying how they dislike ‘insert Global South leader name here’, they’ve already outed themselves as agents for imperialism…
I usually respond to the propaganda by pointing out that the vast majority of my fellow imperial citizens are disagreeable and ignorant at best, sinister at worst, sometimes profoundly so. Most of my fellow workers and students that have visas to be are actually quite privileged, other than the clear dangers of being a non citizen. It’s impossible for them to hide their wealth even as they involve themselves with our union. They still try to hide the fact that they grew up with servants back home, or receive considerable funding from their government on top of our union faught wages.
So what am I trying to say here? Basically, I don’t care if there are Venezuelans that are glad Maduro was kidnapped. Not everyone has good opinions and no one is worth listening to based solely on their nationality.
I have my own politics. If I can best synergize with Venzualans that are in support of Maduro, or more specifically, are against imperialism, that would be ideal. But not everyone is my friend.
I won’t back down from my own politics just because someone disagrees. It does nothing for me or anyone I care about to demonize Maduro, regardless of his faults.
I’m increasingly approached by these individuals since the Palestinian uprising, all the way up to this Venezuelan protests this last weekend
