My theory is that one of mr. little puritan witch-hunter Belos’s first actions was “civilizing” and forcing English upon the Isles, à la American/Canadian residential schools to Native Americans
@WeirdAlex03 But didn’t they already speak English when Luz and Lilith went back in time to when Belos was still going by “Philip”?
I think it’s more likely that the barrier between the Human Realm and the Demon Realm were more permeable in the past, so English just developed together in both realms at the same time.
