Sapiens. Nice book. I’m a little late to that party.
You are not! Books are not time bound! How are you liking it?
I love it. I find it very funny and sarcastic but also very rich and informative. I recently saw an article talking about how this book is a decade old and whether it stands the test of time. After I finish (87% done) I’ll go back and read that article in my Instapaper.
Decided to start Time Shelter before picking up A Clash of Kings, it’s pretty nice. I didn’t expect it to be so short, or it just seems this way after A Game of Thrones lol. Already a quarter way into it and I’m pretty hooked.
Please post a review of it once you finish! I’m obsessed with Time Shelter and would love to see other opinions on it.
I’ve never written a book review and I’m not really sure if I can 😅, but sure, it sounds fun.
I have finished “Mother of Learning” (Progression Fantasy) - The final battle was epic. Originally it was a web nowel so it was right up my alley.
Still in Infinite Powers: The Story of Calculus - The Language of the Universe, by Steven Strogatz. I find that’s a very good and well written vulgarization book.
I randomly picked up “On”, an old sci-fi book I never heard of. While reading, I understand why it got lost in the mists of time, but it’s an okay read with an interesting idea: what if gravity went sideways?
Just finished The Master And Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov. Undecided what to start next, probably some Discworld followed by maybe Dead Souls or Heart of a Dog. Also, listening to And Another Thing.
Priory of the Orange Tree
“I’m a strange loop” by Douglas Hofstadter. Really liking it so far.
