Oh cool. I thought all solarpunkers had that communistic part, must just be a section of the movement. I think i read that communistic part on a random solarpunk community awhile back, it surprised me when i read it, and kind of ruined it for me when they were so dogmatic about that element. Must’ve just been that community I’s on. The idealism of solarpunk is very refreshing.
Yeah sorry, i did go on, and yet i left a lot out! I find the comparative associations you can draw between decentralised and centralised platforms endlessy interesting, from gripes about targeted ads, or endless ai slop, to turning here with no ads but then endless debates over lemmy’s notorious tankie element. Its different, feels more alive even though is slower moving.

I wanted to put up a new post but cannot. The system won’t let me. I don’t understand why unless I am being blocked.
Hmm, your on web browser aren’t you? So can rule out a faulty app function.
Sometimes the server goes down briefly, didn’t notice that this morning myself, but i’ve not been on the whole time. Have you tried logging out, then in again? Might be one of those issues where its just easier to ‘turn it off and on again’. I’d maybe close the browser completely as well, just in case its somehow still logged in, in some way.
And definitely restart the post as separate abd new, don’t try to keep posting the post that isn’t working. Best case scenario it never works, worst case it suddenly works for every single time you’ve pressed the ‘post’ icon. That has happened a couple times to me, ended up having to delete like three of the same post.
Lastly, and this ones easy to overlook, there may be a field you haven’t filled in properly. For instance, it won’t post without a correct title, (some characters, and spacing can’t be used in the title fields), the community field needs a correctly linked community in it as well. Stuff like that.
