I’ve had the same happen. I cut myself while peeling a mandarin at some point as well, hurt like a paper cut. Cat hair in the toe is the worst I’ve experienced though.

I was doing the thing where you cut lines down a fruit and then pull the slices off of the pit. Except, it was a nectarine, and the pit had a spine sharp enough to cut paper.
I sliced open my index finger nailbed, ~4mm across, on a fucking nectarine pit. Dammit.
