While hundreds of millions around the world face food insecurity, a tiny South American nation has managed to become the only country that can entirely feed itself. How did Guyana manage it?
SYAC: Guyana
The USA & most 1st World countries have plenty of resources & food, completely within their own boarders. Just as it is fact that in the world we have many times over enough resources & food to feed every single person on this planet, but Capitalism need to divert resources & food to more wealthier classes & always trying to make insane profits (DuckDuckGo The ‘Break Through News’ ‘Freedom Side’ recent episode’s segment about how in The USA monopoly grocery seller are using AI find the highest possible prices on food their customers will pay).
This not even to mention how Capitalism’s food for privileged wealthier classes are making crazy profits, while in multiple intersectional ways contributing to destroying our living planet & all living beings (including us), through many intersectional ways (including ‘Global Warming’). We all (including the privileged wealthier classes) know the answers to this (from going Vegan, growing only Vegan foods to better farming methods for health of The Living Earth & Living Beings). Definition of crazy, no?
This is was my thought also, countries like Australia and the USA have the capacity to easily be food independent but “The Market” rewards monoculture of a few crops.
The achievement of Guyana is interesting none the less.
Just heard on the independent & on the ground political show’s segment with a independent journalist in Venezuela, that the their food supply is nearly 100% from Venezuela. They are also having their neighborhood people working together to grown their own food supplies.
