It’s a critique of how liberals will be socially progressive on one issue (e.g. transgender people) while not being socially progressive on other issues (e.g. NIMBY positions that prevent affordable housing, bombing third-world nations for the benefit of weapons manufacturers) which means that even when they say something like “I care about trans people”, what they really mean is “I care about trans people in isolation, but if they’re the victim of an unaffordable housing market, or if we decide to bomb their country, now I don’t care about them in that context”
Essentially, it’s them supporting trans people for them being trans, but not supporting them as people with fundamental basic rights outside of that.
