From what I’ve heard, there are two arguments conservatives use here:
Normal people paying for trans surgeries (aka them being covered by free medcare). I’m sure you can imagine why it would upset some people.
And schools pushing kids to be trans is somewhat a thing. Kids, especially teenagers, are particularly malleable. Now I am not trans now, far from it, but in the mental state I was in high school, I fully believe they could have concinced me to come out as a woman. As long as it’s just that, fine, but where the argument becomes heated is when trans surgeries come into play. Many people believe they are being done too hastily, and I’m inclined to agree. Let the kid grow up a bit, if he wants to wear a dress then so be it, but give him a few years before even considering surgery, and then maybe have him talk to a doctor or therapist beforehand.
It’s what I explained. Not that it is literally that, but that the way they talk about it can sometimes be seen as pushy. All I know is what my young family members tell me, this was not a thing when I was at school.
What else do you expect? I’m not giving you a scientific paper here, I’m giving you a testimony. Ever heard of those? Mostly it’s the info I gathered over the christmas holidays from younger people who are still in school.

Excuse me? Got any evidence for this bullshit?

Literally the whole base for this comment. Yikes.
