Supercharged sight and hearing has gotta have a profound effect on what one considers personal space. 🤔
or bad sight. i’m farsighted. my eyes start to focus 20 feet away without corrective lenses. guess where my personal space starts?
Its a blessing and a curse surely
ohhh there’s two of them, I really had a hard time understanding even with your comment
Yup, you got it now. Most owls are solitary and territorial animals. As predators, their food supply is often limited, so they don’t like sharing. Any other owl is just competition for limited resources, so even in a place that looks infinitely spacious to us, it’s too close in this most likely female Snowy Owl’s opinion.
That’s a very pretty landscape!
I think I know exactly where it’s depicting; the Tombstone range viewpoint on the Dempster highway in the Yukon.
Here’s a pic I took from the same spot

Oh, Tamriel.
Good eye, sniper! I suppose it’s possible the artist was just painting off the cuff, but your photo is a very compelling argument for their inspiration.
Scientifically accurate
I’ve never been anywhere I would potentially be outside of reasonable walking distance away from another human being, but I bet it would feel a bit like being in the middle of the ocean (somewhere I have been; but with other people on the boat).
Sowlitude 😉
