If there’s anything we should take from Japan, it’s treating cars like second class citizens behind transit instead of the other way around. The cute tiny cars are more a side effect of that.

If there’s anything we should take from Japan, it’s treating cars like second class citizens behind transit instead of the other way around. The cute tiny cars are more a side effect of that.
When I was in nyc a few weeks ago, I saw Amazon delivery cargo bicycles/tricycles that seemed to work great in that environment, and despite the weather. I’m sure a big part of it was the protected bike lanes are everywhere, but delivery by those must be much faster and safer than trying to navigate a truck across Manhattan. Some of those were as big as Kei cars
