I’m not sure where to put this report, but I was playing as a warlock and I tried to use the scroll of transmutation when I reached floor 22, but when I tried to use it on my rose, after 4 attempts it turned into a level 2 ring (my item was level 10) I’m not sure if that’s a hidden mechanic, but I wanted to report it.

    Not a bug. Artifacts only appear once in a dungeon. Transmuting the last generated artifact will produce a ring instead.

    Note that even artifacts from crystal chests count, even if you didn’t open it.

    Could be caused by artifacts being unique items. Each artifact can only spawn once in a game. I haven’t checked the code, but I can imagine that in your game every possible artifact was generated, and transmutation into a ring is some kind of fallback for this case.
