People do realize this money will no come from Trump personal account and will not go to Crocs customers? It’s a corporation asking for a bailout. What’s to applaud?

The pushback is the key thing. The Trump Administration losing in court to the handful of large companies suing is going to have a big impact.

The lawsuit challenges the administration’s emergency tariffs, arguing that the law Trump cited in his April order does not authorize the president to levy tariffs and that the so-called national emergency was not a genuine emergency and did not involve an “unusual or extraordinary threat,” the lawsuit states, as per the Business Journal.

If they win it will fuck Trump politically. Every company will have a go.

Just outta curiosity, where does the number before the word lawsuit come from? What is the $54 million calculated from, and why isn’t it the hundreds of millions that the tarrif stupidity cost the company?

Edit: sorry, I have habit of not reading @.@
$54 million is what Crocs paid in duties, and they’re asking for this amount back plus interest plus a pinky promise that they will never be hurt this way again. That’s all I got from the article
