That is odd. I’m using a Pixel 9, but I can’t think of any substantial differences that would change how GrayJay would function. If you can grab a copy of your logs and send them to the dev team, I’m sure they could narrow down the issue better.
One thing you do have to keep in mind is that the Youtube source updates quite often (since ofc Google isn’t a fan of it), so if something’s really off, try updating that first.
I’m currently watching a YT video on my own install rn, so current implementation is functional.
Yep, nearly daily updates with the YouTube plugin and often the main grayjay as well. I’m in the US if that makes a difference, but ever since YouTube updated their platform a few months ago grayjay simply doesn’t play video. I should submit a big report, I was just under the impression that the app was losing the arms race.
Fortunately, the project is steady and ongoing (in fact, their desktop client released recently and I’ve been enjoying that with local sync), but of course there’ll be things that slip through the cracks.
I’m also in the US, so I doubt it’s a regional issue.
