I hung the furring strips on the wall for my new pegboard while my 5yo helped by painting part of the workbench frame.
Edit: The current order is that I need to hang the board and finish the workbench. Then I can put away all my tools, and empty part of the storage unit. After that I’m going to build a massive bookcase with sliding ladder and then we can completely empty the storage unit.
And then there is the window bench/bookshelf for the 5yo, built in desk for the tween, building my closet and finishing the trim for the so’s, building a Murphy desk for the guest room, adding a sink to the laundry room, and finishing out the closet under the stairs.

It is so much fun to do stuff like this with your kids. Yesterday I let my 6 year old decorate the christmas tree. Usually I hate doing that, but this time I was enjoying it.
Oh yeah, anything we can do that keeps the kids engaged while we do something together is an absolute win.
