      Venting is part of what we are here for. And self-compassion can be a good thing, and can also be a slippery slope which I hope your therapist recognises. Sisters - I have one and she can STILL push my buttons even after decades of very separate life paths. I thoroughly approve of noticing things in the moment - this is a very good path to self-awareness which is the root of real self-compassion - the good sort. A momentary lapse in self-control is NOT a life sentence. We all have them. Be kind to yourself going forward.

      believe what your senses and rational self is seeing and saying

      also, in a world of equality why should you automatically believe others before you believe yourself

      and so many many hugs

      I do not deny this is a sad experience
