I don’t want to get too deep in the weeds here but there are a few things that we have to work around, chief problem being the story’s narrator saying they didn’t know what estrogen would do (it occurs to me it could be a tongue in cheek post by a trans person for lols? “Oh, look, I grew boobs! How’d that happen?” Dunno. Anyway…), then expend the effort to find a way to get them and take the estrogen…because? I mean sure, there’s always someone to find a way around getting something they maybe shouldn’t, but I kinda hit a hard stop when someone says they regularly took pills and they didn’t know what the result would be. Ymmv.
But was pretty surprised when my mom asked me like a year into me taking HRT if I knew HRT would change my body shape the way it did as if she had just learned about it and thought I would be surprised by the effects? Like… what did she think HRT was for? Since then, she’s seem a lot more interested taking T though.
A great many people believe males and females are two different species, fundamentally different through some divinely appointed distinction deeper than science can penetrate. They don’t realise how mechanical the world is, and how easy to change with the right understanding.
