This is a mobile city that I created and yes, was inspired by mortal engines. The concept is that Arachnis has invaded earth and imagine the Matrix, but with alien spiders and Swarm Nodes everywhere. The last of the humans reside in Quadrant 3 and are trying to overtake her scourge and reclaim what they can.
People have also mentioned it reminds them of something from WarHammer 40k.
Here’s a quick video of the build.

🎼 Na na, na na na na na na na na Legomari Damacy ~ 🎶
Can you please elaborate on that?
Katamari Damacy is a game where you roll larger and larger things into a ball, starting with small things like thumb tacks and eventually buildings and small islands. It has extremely catchy music. The reference is to this song: https://youtu.be/M7EXlS9-XpU
Ohhhh! Someone said the same thing to me when I posted this. I knew that name sounded familiar. Yeah, we’ll see what happens with the build, moving forward.
Kind of reminds me of Howl’s Moving Castle:

Heh yeah. My video on TikTok has the comment “Mad Max Moving Castle” with the most upvotes.
This is twice now I have seen a post in this comm of something that looks more like a random pile of bricks than an actual build.
I’m sorry. I know my stuff isn’t for everyone.
Don’t get me wrong; It’s still impressive making something that chaotic and it’s not actually just a pile of bricks dumped out of a bucket. I certainly couldn’t make this if I tried.
I greatly appreciate that and yeah a few people have said the same thing. It’s one thing to see a picture, it’s another when you can see it in person and look at all of the details. I could show you some of my other refined builds, if you’d like?
My question is whether or not every piece is “attached”? I get that some are held on by being wrapped/secured by chains, but is every piece “connected”? If so then I find this impressive. If it’s just a heap glued together(which I’m not getting that vibe), less so. There’s beauty in the engineering, similar to tensgrity builds.
Honestly, both. Some of the sections are held together with chains, while some others “snap” in with the bar/clip method. It is all about weight distribution.
Very cool. Definitely looks like it took a lot of work.
Thank you very much for that!
That’s impressive and looks so fragile. How do you accomplish this? I have hard time keeping a set together much less building something like this.
I greatly appreciate it! Here’s how it looked at Brickworld Indy and here’s a teardown video for ya.

Wow

I greatly appreciate it! This build is modular as well. :)

See, that’s incredible
I greatly appreciate that! Have you seen my recent posts on here as well? This build here was from earlier this year. I have been a tad busy this year.
Oh my god, no I haven’t. Thank you for sharing them!
This kind of organized chaos is amazing!
You’re quite welcome and I am glad you enjoy my madness! :D
Holy amazeballs this is incredible! Despite the look not being appealing to me, its very impressive!
I understand that wholeheartedly. Some people think this build should reside in a museum or an art show due to it’s stature.
How much of that base is solid, like tends to be the case with kitted Lego?
The base is pretty solid, lots of technic. I tell people, I start with a solid foundation and build up. Would you like to see a 5 minute teardown video of it?
Sure, I’m interested in what people do with custom stuff, and I’ve really only built a couple of kits, so I found how that stuff was supported to be pretty interesting. I’d be into mashing those two together!
I understand about that. I have been building since the 90’s and endured my dark ages from 2005-2014. Here’s a few links. :D
Interesting, thanks for sharing that!
You’re welcome and I am glad that you enjoyed it.
So incredible! Well done 👍
I greatly appreciate it! Would you like like to see a teardown video?
Yes I watched your tear down. Very well executed and so many details!
GHASP! A GARGANT!
GREEN IS BEST!

I hear that a lot. :P How about this one? https://imgur.com/a/kAviSao
