The suspected shooter of two national guard members in Washington DC on Wednesday worked with CIA-backed military units during the US war in Afghanistan, the agency has confirmed.
The alleged gunman, identified as Rahmanullah Lakanwal, 29, came to the US in September 2021 under an Operation Allies Welcome program that gave some Afghans who had worked for the US government entry visas to the US. He was granted asylum in April this year, under the Trump administration, Reuters reported.
Not that the US media would report it, but I assume the killer here had a family member deported back to Afghanistan. That would feel like a pretty monumental betrayal after risking your life to help the US in the war in Afghanistan, but unfortunately, violence like this is exactly what Donald and the other fascists want.
You should never collaborate with the invaders. You betray your own people and will most likely be abandoned by the invaders. His story is unfortunate but not surprising.
