The weird part is, I’m pretty sure no one here takes every word from every Western or non-Western source as gospel, because we’ve debated claims of several articles from several sources, here. And maybe we have been fooled, on some claims, occasionally. But speaking for myself, I just make a mental note and read other sources from other perspectives, and ask about the claim or figure I’ll either know when I know or won’t, unless a claim is an especially glaring, at which point most of us have a little bit of fun with it. I mean, things can go full dooner pretty quickly if we don’t have a laugh sometimes.
