And nobody heard themselves asking her this? Wtf?
I’m Native American but not officially enrolled in a tribe (theres actually very few federally recognized tribes). While filling out licensing paper work to become a foster parent the state licensor said I couldnt check the box “Native American” unless I had documentation from a tribe.
Thus woman was black and I asked her, “Has anyone ever asked you to provide documentation that you’re black”? She replied, “No that would be messed up”. “Do you not see the parallels here”? I said and she replied, “No why would I need to provide paperwork proving I’m black”?
So yeah, people are stupid and I guess I can only check “white” even though I’m a member of my tribes clan that isnt federally recognized.

But you would be insulting her if you called her racist.
Kind of what chaps me about black people thinking they own the short stick but they’re 13% to Native 2% population…which used to be 100%.
Racist basketball owner says maybe dont date black guys and the league makes him sell the team. Racist Redskins football team fight tooth and nail to keep racist name.
The first thing I ever saw her in was Little Monsters. It’s a lightweight zombie horror comedy and she was delightful in it. Would recommend to anyone who likes the genre.
And then they turned over the piece of paper and James Cameron had scrawled $lave$ and, well, you know the rest of the story…
Fucking brutal.
WTF?
It’s Hollywood. Successfully play a <character>, be offered more rolls as a version of <character>. It’s like she’s never heard of typecasting, and just wants to be offended at past historical horrors. I understand the word “slave” comes with a shitload of well-deserved baggage, but how many times have we read an actor saying they were worried about being typecast as a prositute, or angry middle aged middle manager, or cop, or…
And now I wait for the outraged replies to fill my box.
