It’s a speed limit, not a mandatory speed.

I also have to say that I was frequently tailgated, because I was going at the speed limit, when mostly everyone else went above.

Oh come on, we all know that it’s an unwritten rule that you either drive exactly at the speed limit, or up to 9 MPH over, because no cop will pull you over unless you’re egregiously speeding (because literally everybody speeds). Don’t be a fool who follows the law to the letter, rather than interpreting the intention of the law, like judges and lawyers get paid to do.

Don’t know where you live, but in my state there is a law that states that you must go with the flow of traffic, regardless of the speed limit. Driving slower than the flow of traffic not only causes traffic jams, but also increases the chances of either getting into—or causing an accident. Your stubbornness causes more issues than it fixes.

You’re talking to chronically online people, they have no concept of what normal conventions are.

They just see the rules as an excuse to be pedantic losers.

They know they’re going slow in the left lane and enjoy being tailgated because they get off on being pedantic losers.

People who complain about tailgaters endlessly are always the shit drivers.

You’re not a cop you have no authority to enforce the speed limit.

People are going to drive like this, it’s your choice to sit in the way, pissing everyone including yourself off.
