It’s out of principle that I do pirate things. The entertainment conglomerates have used their money and power to completely warp the copyright system so that it hurts the public and benefits them. They’ve abused it so that it doesn’t even benefit artists anymore. As some have said, lengthening or strengthening copyright at this point is basically just like giving a bullied kid more money. The money goes to the bullies and the kid just gets beaten up again.
