    It’s out of principle that I do pirate things. The entertainment conglomerates have used their money and power to completely warp the copyright system so that it hurts the public and benefits them. They’ve abused it so that it doesn’t even benefit artists anymore. As some have said, lengthening or strengthening copyright at this point is basically just like giving a bullied kid more money. The money goes to the bullies and the kid just gets beaten up again.

    Why would you think it’s morally right to obey an unjust law?

      You make a compelling argument.

      I don’t really want to faff with VPNs and such to get my stuff either, so there’s that too.

      I have plenty of DVDs and BluRays (most bought at goodwill stores) to last me a while.
