I find myself in possession of some very heavy slabs that were clearly the top of an old billiards or pool table. There are 3 pieces in total, all of which look to be in great shape aside from the holes in the pocket locations. They are heavy as FUCK.
Throwing them away seems like a waste but there isn’t anything immediately coming to mind to use for them besides maybe a table top or something which doesn’t sound very exciting. Cutting them isn’t out of the question but I don’t have the tools for that on hand.
What sort of stuff would you do with them?

I’ve got an old snooker table that I can’t get rid of, so I’ve been trying to think of ideas too. As I understand it, they’re slate, used because slate is very smooth.
I was thinking of either finding someone who can split them up and making tables out of them, or selling them to an artist’s supplier that I know of so that they can split them into whatever sizes they need. If you can find a high end business that uses slate, you’ll probably get a better price.
In my case though getting rid of them is more important, so I’m not too concerned with making money off them.
I have no desire to profit from them, I’m just looking for cool ways to repurpose them. If I can’t come up with anything that inspires me to do something with them I’ll just give them away to someone else.
Tables are a common suggestion but I don’t think that really fits our style. Maybe I should start looking up designs and see what others have come up with.
