Alberta proposes new bill of rights, including to refuse medical treatment — with exemptions.
Alberta’s government proposed legislative changes Monday to the provincial Bill of Rights aimed at giving residents the right to refuse medical treatments, including vaccines, but is leaving the final word to the courts.
If passed, the new bill would protect Albertans from being “coerced” into receiving any kind of medical treatment, so long as an individual has the “capacity” to consent and is not likely to cause “substantial harm to themselves and others.”
Smith is such a piece of shit
Always felt it very disturbing that the Alberta Bill of Rights makes more sense under American law than Canadian law. I know it’s more an instance of Alberta conservatives unable to distinguish the two countries legal/political systems due to their reliance on American propaganda to support their positions, but the optics are bad.
“Vigilance” never worked against measles. It looks like a flu or even a cold in a lot of people. Vaccines worked
If she wants to take it seriously, I urge Smith not to talk and act like a plague zombie for her antivax crowd.
Oh now she gives a shit?
No, she never has, and never will.
She only cares about votes. People blame her for giving Alberta exactly what they want, which is why they elected her.
What a fucken idiot.
Yes, vaccines are def not important. Listen to the oil lobbiests!!
Alberta: the home of essential oils
Half-awake. Read ‘urges violence,’ not ‘urges vigilance’.
