Horrible story which I don’t want to read not to weigh myself down too much (as an Autist with empathy in overdrive) so I have to stupidly ask: where’s the link to autism, it being posted here? Thanks.

the father told police or paramedics that she “was autistic” and had not eaten in 4-5 days.

"Police also spoke to the victim’s teacher from 2019 to 2020, who allegedly said she remembered the victim being “friendly and talkative” and could not recall anything about her being autistic or enrolled in any special education programs. Rather, the teacher said the victim had been “a healthy normal third-grade student, who interacted appropriately with her peers and staff.”

this is from a different article I found: https://lawandcrime.com/crime/living-in-a-house-of-horrors-trio-allegedly-starved-14-year-old-who-weighed-just-35-pounds-was-kept-locked-up-in-her-bedroom-with-a-camera-on-her/

It seems the father was making excuses to deflect away from his mistreatment/abuse/neglect.

Thanks. My point being whether or not this story is even (neutrally) autism related and it seems rather not so much.

I read the article, didn’t have much detail other than family hated her based on messages. The family said the girl doesn’t eat because she autistic.
