      Dying your hair isn’t very expensive. I think most don’t do it because they don’t want to

        Ain’t nobody with kids got time for that. Kids are f’n expensive AF so’s gotta work all the damned time. What’s left over isn’t enough time to make sure kids get help with homework n food n clothes n on n on

        I don’t do it because my stuck-in-the-sixties workplace doesn’t allow “unnatural hair colors”. They also still don’t allow men to have long hair.

        The “no visible tattoos” rule just got rescinded, because there was no one left in the city who would work here, and we needed to hire people.

        And why do I still work there? Because I need money to pay the rent.

        Doing it right can be. You can buy a pack at the store and dye it yourself at home, and doing that once is pretty cheap. But if you go to a salon and have a pro do it, and you keep up on maintaining the color and dyeing the roots, it’s not an inexpensive endeavor.

        If you have the disposable income though, it’s a lot of fun! I love having my hair dyed unnatural colors
