      I literally can’t find a scientific explanation. The closest is a reddit post that says most blondes turn brunette, so blonde hair is associated with youth. My spouse is an example.

      I’m mexican american. White, blonde, and blue eyes = rich hollywood star to mexicans. There isn’t much research into the genetic preferences, so it could be a matter of forms of exposure? They watch a lot of american shows? I don’t know.

        You’re right that the straw-blonde hair that kids often have turn much darker in adulthood, so there may be a connection to perceived youth. Exposure likely also plays a role, but I’m still at a loss for how deep this seems to go.
