      I really hope there is, that he’s successful and becomes a blueprint for a better way forward. I’m just really close to having totally lost hope.

        Cuomo did not do well, but I was surprised he did even as well as he did. It IS a beacon of light that at least one of these pieces of crap got replaced by someone who seems to actually care about something outside of themselves.

            Cuomo is one of those politicians whose appeal completely baffles me. He comes across as self-serving to the core. He is exactly the kind of opportunistic, power-obsessed figure people usually say they can’t stand in politics. What’s the draw? The draw must be limited, since NYC rejected him in favor of Mamdani twice, but still.
