I have depression and I don’t like being a gloomy fuck and I’m trying but goddamn if people saying shit like this doesnt make me want to stay home or go ahead and off myself jesus fucking christ. Are they oblivious or are they making fun of me to my face I don’t know.

    If they said that verbatim that is super unprofessional and highly inappropriate conduct for a workplace. Best way is to pull them aside and tell them in private that you don’t appreciate such remarks. Otherwise, in a functional workplace report it to a manager/HR. That second quote alone would be grounds for a review if not more. What a fucking psycho thing to say to a work colleague. It reeks of workplace bullying.

      100% this. The ‘functional’ part being key, alas. Because HR can very easily not be functional and make one feels even worse when seeing it doesn’t change shit to report those bullies.
