The key word here is responsibility. It didnt ask for your purpose or goal in having a job, but what is your responsibility to your employer when you have a job.

Well unfortunately that’s right.
If you don’t deliver value to your boss or shareholders you will be fired or even sued in some cases.
Nobody will fire you because you don’t make enough to feed your family
Which means that your primary concern is earning a living wage, and helping the company profit is a means to that end.
