Yup, but there’s something uniquely “appealing” and appalling about the whole idea of poisoning people to be dumb that just feels even worse, but the decay of the public education in the US definitively has been happening and is leading to that same conclusion, with at least a possibility of people only being taught wrong or not taught at all, instead of actually being dumber and unable to learn
