Clout chasing have you ever seen the influencers videotaping helping the homeless. Just do it and shut up about it. You could have just changed the final to any other f word in ya brain nobody would ever know. “False-virtue” would have been a good choice.
You know you can just say “yeah, I overreacted. It’s perfectly reasonable for someone to write a post on their blog about why they changed the name of the software they develop. I was having a bad day, and shouldn’t have taken it out on LGFae.”
And instead you’re tripling down and calling it clout chasing. He didn’t post this on tiktok with #viral in the description. He didn’t contact a news agency to report on this decision. He wrote a journal entry on his personal website, and one of his readers shared it on this community because some of us give a shit about the people who write the software we use
