I feel for the Americans who didn’t vote for this and really want to leave but don’t have the option. Not every job is portable, unfortunately.
I couldn’t vote because I was born just 1 year too late… T_T
It also looks like its hard for me to leave too
I’m not too excited for the americans who stayed home on election night because of their stinking apathy.
Right now I think the only chance the US has is riding on the incompetence of the people trying to rush through to a fascism. The lack of any effective resistance except people LARP’ing like the normal processes will be enough makes me worried, and the only hope I have is that there are enough people in the Republican side who aren’t in on the rush to fascism that can be turned away.
Is this a rehash of an old story. The link implies new, but there is no date that I noticed on the article.

Looks, uh, looks like from yesterday
Oh, that’s odd, I looked for the date and it didn’t show for me. I’ve seen a variation of this before. It’s not adding anything new, really. I wonder if it’s just rejigged and republished. Perhaps rewritten by ai.
Yes, looks like same guy before. Yale professor who studies fascism fleeing US to work in Canada | US universities | The Guardian https://share.google/KzxKm3HczeA8PjBsu
