One masked and heavily armed man even throws an object at the baby’s head while haphazardly clearing the passenger seat during the raid at a Home Depot.

Armed paramilitary then drive off with child after detaining her father, a U.S. citizen accused of assault.

The toddler (also a US Citizen) has since been reunited with her family.

Excuse me America, but what the fuck is wrong with you?

No, don’t answer that. It was a rethorical question.

Poor kid had no idea what was happening. Can we just take a moment to address what was actually going on in the background of this video? We had multiple people just blaring their horns (assuming car horns). To show discontent? To show solidarity? Because the lives of a family being torn apart was an inconvenience to them carrying out their day?

Then we had a guy just repeating “Child endangerment” while standing behind a barrier recording on his phone. That child was 100% in danger when the vehicle they were traveling in was seemingly rammed from behind. In very little danger when surrounded by armed enforcers and will no doubt be in considerable danger again when thrown to the wolves of ICE(kids). If I truly felt a child was in danger I would have marched right through the mob in order to help said child. Regardless of the chances of getting shot or beaten. Crying wolf from the sidelines doesn’t help anyone at all!

We had someone suggesting that the detainee should kneel down while being forceably restrained and carted off… At first I thought this may have been citizen advice to “stop resisting” but it appears it was the opposite and someone was suggesting a better way to resist. Seriously, WTF? Cross the barrier and kneel on front of the officers in order to make yourself a hindrance. No doubt you’d be slapped with trumped-up charges but that’s the price you pay in order to let everybody know that you don’t agree with this. Don’t encourage others and let them deal with the consequences while you pat yourself on the back and sleep soundly in your own bed at night.

Then we had multiple people approach the vehicle while it was being driven away to get some closeup shots of the masked enforcers abducting the child, some complaining that they couldn’t get a clear shot of the child as they had covered their face…

Is this what passes as a counter-ICE protest these days? For shame.

This is a tactic used by concerned citizens to warn people in the area that paramilitary are abducting people. You may also often hear whistles.

Crying wolf from the sidelines doesn’t help anyone at all!

You just said how the child was in fact in danger, so how would it be crying wolf?

Not everyone is ready or capable to resist in the same way. As a group, we have to provide resistance in any way we can and feel comfortable with. Sometimes that’s only voting, sometimes it’s documenting crimes, sometimes that’s protesting, and sometimes it might even mean using force. It’s important to let people resist oppression in their own ways because otherwise we will spend too much time infighting and strategizing instead of actually providing resistance. This is explored further in books like full spectrum resistance. Any resistance is welcome.

Ahhh, thanks for shedding light on the car horns. That makes a lot of sense.

My point about the guy yelling child endangerment is highlighted in this video. No one is acting on it. (Hopefully because the child isn’t in active danger while the guy is yelling it)

If you were to shout child endangerment in most parts of the world people would be acting on it. I fear that if some even less scrupulous individuals decided to abduct in an area prolific in ICE activity no one would bat an eye at someone legitimately calling that a child is in danger :/

I may just be holding people to unrealistic standards for the most part… I agree I’d rather people be doing ANYTHING to counter rather than simply ignoring it.

Have you seen the guns they’re carrying? You can’t help the kid if your brains are on the pavement.

sure would be a neat way for civilians to block intersections with cars, turn them off, take out keys, flatten one side of tires, get some people to push them over, box those fucks in.

im sure no one with a molotov would be around to take advantage of the aituation

I’m sure that’s the kind of action that Trump is looking for to enact martial law. Not saying that they don’t require a show of force to take the country back, but people should be prepared for the likely response. Also, there was a baby in this case. Would people boxing and molotov-ing know about the baby to get them out? Can’t be torching the innocent.

I have I thought about protecting the innocent or someone killing those harming others?

Either way, yes. I’m no assassin, but I’ll defend the innocent, if I can.

This is EXACTLY what ICE is out here trying to provoke.

The thought of people fighting back against ICE gets Trump harder than a trip to Epstein Island ever did.
