TempleOS has a Chess game but not a Chess engine - it’s multiplayer only. But the “After Egypt” program uses a pseudorandom word generator to talk to god, so one time Terry played chess with it, I believe by loading a file with piece names and board positions as the dataset as well as a word to resign. It was about as good as you could expect:
