China didn’t take direct action on Taiwan when Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Direct action against Taiwan is unlikely. There’s no scenario where an invasion happens and the chip manufacturing stays intact. What is likely is China invades elsewhere with increased influence over Taiwan as a goal.
