The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 8:10 pm, severe thunderstorms likely to produce damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding were detected near Ipswich and Peak Crossing. These thunderstorms are moving towards the northeast. They are forecast to affect Brisbane CBD, Logan Central and Laidley by 8:40 pm and Beenleigh, Cleveland, Strathpine and Redcliffe by 9:10 pm.
