Jenson Button has confirmed that the upcoming 8 Hours of Bahrain will mark the last race of his professional career, with the 2009 F1 World Champion deciding not to compete in another season of the World Endurance Championship.
It’s amazing that Button is the same age as Fernando, and yet has had time to not only have a full and diverse post-F1 career but also now retire from that while Alonso is still in F1.
I think he was mostly interested in the Triple Crown at the time. Would be fun to see him in Indy again, but for now it seems other than F1 Dakar is most likely. He’s said he wants to have another crack at it.

He should have taken seriously the Indy thing, by participating to a couple of full championships
