Everyone advertises. It’s marketing. Some ads are fine, like those found in stores, a “I’m at the store to buy things, show me what you got” kinda thing.
The real problem is intrusive ads. Unskippable ads on videos. Ads in a paid service. Ads in paid apps. “Tech” companies tracking every single thing you do on every website. Etc, etc…
I know what ads and marketing are, and they can both fuck off. I don’t want ads on my youtube. If you’re ok with ads, good on ya, enjoy lies about products you don’t really need.
And no, not everyone advertises. In fact there are brands and entire product lines even that avoid advertising.
