Canadian officials may have said they were caught off guard last week when U.S. President Donald Trump announced he was cutting off trade negotiations with Canada over Ontario’s anti-tariff advertisement, but sources say Premier Doug Ford’s bad cop act— and tough words for Trump — has been an irritant.

Two sources with knowledge of the talks said the Americans had warned Canadians “for months” that the Ontario premier’s comments were troubling to the Trump administration.

Ford, who in recent weeks has called Trump a “tyrant” and vowed to not “let him roll over Ontario,” had been an ardent critic of the American president, with his comments ramping up in recent weeks as vehicle manufacturers, including Stellantis and General Motors, slow Canadian production.

Oh for fucks sake So what? Grow up!
AFAIK Canada is a free country, was the government supposed to silence him?
Trump is against democracy, and is actively trying to silence opposition with threats and active actions to hurt anybody that opposes him. Both national and international.

This is yet another example of American exceptionalism, they think they have some sort of right to demand politicians of other countries not to express their opinion, when at the same time the Trump administration is trying to influence the elections of other countries! Which both Canada and European countries have not done to USA.

FUCK OFF USA (The administration), Stop behaving like a child, almost everybody hate your little spoiled brat performances, and no one has any respect for you anymore. We are just getting more annoyed with every sick and insane performance by the American administration.
