Whenever I go to put a box in the recycling, my dog insists he be allowed to rip it up first. Once it’s in pieces, he sits and looks at me until I pick up the mess and put it in the can. It’s a team effort 😂 .

Why can’t they keep all those boxes? One in each room. Not like they all have to go out immediately.
The cat is probably home more often than they are, at least let it keep its temporary enrichment items that you can throw away any time and don’t cost you anything to keep but space.

I personally have enough boxes that I have one or two in each room for my cats and still have a box like that for recycling some weeks.
