Eyes provide some data, but then the brain starts drawing conclusions. Usually, that’s good enough, but when you feel like your eyes may be deceiving you, the brain has taken some “artistic liberties”.
Eyes don’t provide that much of precise data either, to be honest. There’s only a small spot in the middle of your field of vision that is actually clear, the rest is reconstructed by your brain. Artistic liberties in this case are required if you want to see anything at all.
It’s kinda like AI upscaling.
you can say that about everything, and I mean literally everything. Nothing exists in your world that is not essentially just a signal your brain perceived.
Diving into some deep philosophical waters, are we?
If other people agree with my interpretation of the world, that’s good enough for me. Who knows if it’s real or not. It’s not like I have the means to figure that out.
If they say I’m seeing things and talking to people who don’t even exist, I might be having delusions, hallucinations or something. If that’s the case, it’s the brain doing something weird, and I might not be able to figure that out either.
Either way, sounds kinda scary, but I don’t really see much that I could do about it.
Welcome to absurdism I guess haha

That’s a pretty solid point. Can’t argue with that.
