Idk about you guys, but my local supermarket regularly (almost always) only has the express lane open. So if I’m doing a big shop, I don’t have a choice.

Sometimes they’ll open a proper checkout for me.

Here in the shops works a teenage girl and I think, she has her heart in the right place, but she hasn’t yet figured out that authority is not equivalent to moral good.

And yeah, it’s just so funny, you’ve got rugged, old cashiers that could not give a fuck whether you’re stealing, so long as they can’t be blamed, and then this meek little girl who’s all like “Excuse me, sir, can I see what’s in your bag?” and “Excuse me, sir, you cannot use the self-checkout with more than ten items!”.
