Some even could look a bit pathetic to them, actually (“make lying immoral again” is a bit ironic considering that politicians of all sides lie more than they breathe; the only difference being that one side makes it their identity.
So in the end you have two similar bunches of people (even though the ones on the right tend to have more ridiculous outfits), arguing about the lack of reason for such a protest (even though the right saying “I don’t know” can be seen as an admission), both having a bunch of signs that make a variable amount of sense.
It seems that it definitely doesn’t help the cause.
I think it’s just saying that it’s dumb to call other people’s rallies pointless if you yourself have rallies as well. Like either you believe rallies accomplish something or you don’t, but you don’t get to say that some rallies work and others don’t, because regardless of the cause, all rallies have the same purpose (awareness and solidarity for a specific cause, generally).
