> Norway announced plans to introduce a UN General Assembly resolution calling on “Israel” to remove restrictions on humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide said Oslo will move forward following the International Court of Justice’s ruling that “Israel” is legally obligated to facilitate UN aid deliveries to Palestinians.
Norway was the country that initially requested the ICJ’s advisory opinion, which found that aid access must be ensured under international law.
The upcoming resolution aims to turn that ruling into political action at the UN.
